Andrew Lichtenberger has been eliminated by Will Chao

Local Will Chao moved all in in early position and Andrew Lichtenberger called all in for less. Jeff Madsen made the call, having both players covered, and the hands were revealed.

The [2s][3c][Jh] flop was huge for Will, giving him a set. Andrew would need to catch a king to survive, or Jeff would need to catch a nine to knock out two players and add to his million plus stack. There was paint on the turn, but it was the [Qd], so Andrew had just one more chance to catch up. The [8d] hit the river, though, and the crowd erupted in support of Will.

Andrew will earn $18,400 for his 52nd place finish.

Loni Harwood has been eliminated

Loni Harwood has been eliminated when her [As][2h] failed to improve against her opponent's superior ace.

With that elimination, Jeff Madsen is the sole remaining Shooting Star in the field of 51 remaining players.

Ronit Chamani takes a beat to bust in 61st place

After an early position raise to 20k by David Randall, Ronit Chamani moved all in on the button for 91k, over half of her opponent's stack. He eventually called with [Qs][Jh], and Ronit was in good shape to double up with her [Jd][Jc]. Ronit flopped top set on the [Js][8h][5c] flop, but the turn and river ran out [Ts][9s] to give David a rivered straight and send Ronit to the payout desk to collect $16,410 for her 61st place finish.

Ronit is one of the few players to cash in both 2014 Shooting Star events as she won the preliminary $2k event late on Monday night.

Jason Koon has been eliminated

Jason Koon had been grinding a short stack for quite some time, and seemed to be handcuffed as a light shove as a Shooting Star would yield a call. Jason finally found a hand he could push with in [Ad][Ts]. Darren Elias player reshoved, and after all folded, Jason begged to see pocket nines. His opponent tabled [Jh][Jd], though, and Jason would need to catch an ace to survive. The [Kc][Qd][6s] flop gave Jason four more outs to make a straight, but neither the [3s] turn or the [5h] river could save Jason from elimination. Jason will exit this tournament in 65th place, good for $14,430.

Matt Salsberg has been eliminated

Just after Phil Laak was eliminated, we lost another Shooting Star in Matt Salsberg. He was all preflop for 73,000 with [Th][Td] and was up against [Ks][Qc]. Matt's hand held through the [3h][8c][5h] flop, and was he still good on the [As] turn. But when the [Kh] hit the river, Matt slammed his hand on the table as his opponent shot his hands in the air, knowing he collected his second bounty and inched closer to the money.

Phil Laak gets unlaaky to bust

Phil Laak was all in preflop with [Ks][Kh] against his opponent's [Jh][Jd]. With only about 150k, half of average, this would be a much-needed doubleup for Phil heading into hand-for-hand play. The [8h][3h][8d] flop was safe, but the [Jc] on the turn spelled disaster. Phil would need one of the two remaining kings to fall on the river, but the [9s] hit to send Phil out the door and awarding his opponent the $2,500 bounty.

Blaire Hinkle has been eliminated

Blaire Hinkle moved all in with six three and was called by [Ac][Jc]. The board ran out K-7-8-9-9 and Blaire was eliminated just shy of the money.

Players are now on dinner break

The board reads 110 players remaining, and they are now on their one hour dinner break. When they return, the blinds will be 2,500/5,000 with a 500 ante, and the levels will be increased to 90 minutes in duration.

$25k High Roller cards are in the air

With registration open until until 10:45pm, The $25,000 Bay 101 High Roller No-Limit Hold'em Tournament is now underway. Registration is open for six (60-minute) levels with breaks.

Andrew Lichtenberger dishes out a bad beat on Daniel Strelitz

On our feature table, Daniel Strelitz was all in with pocket kings against Andrew Lichtenberger's [Th][Tc]. The flop was a disaster for Daniel as it fell [Jd][2s][Ts], and he could not find a king on the turn or river as it fell [Jc][7h]. The stacks were countered, and Andrew had Daniel covered and will add to his stack. Andrew now sits on over 160,000.

Antonio Esfandiari has been eliminated

Antonio Esfandiari was all in preflop with [2h][2d] and was up against Dom Fernandes' [As][Kd]. The board ran out [Ah][Js][4c][8c][Qd] and Dom will pick up Antonio's bounty and the autographed Shooting Star t-shirt.

Ravi Raghavan has been eliminated

After a late position raise, Ravi Raghavan moved all in from the small blind for 36,000. Dan Furnival moved all in over the top and the original raiser folded. It was a race for Ravi's life as he held [As][Qc] to Dan's [9s][9d]. Ravi could not catch an ace or a queen on the [8s][7c][5c][Jd][9h], and Dan will collect his $2,500 bounty.

Marvin Rettenmaier's two pair runs into Noah Schwartz's straight to bust

On a [Ts][9h][6s][Js] board, Marvin Rettenmaier was all in with [Jh][Td] for two pair, but was up against Noah Schwartz's [Kc][Qs] for a straight. Marvin would need to catch a four outer to survive, but the [Kd] hit the river to send Marvin to the rail before the second break of the day.

Andrew Lichtenberger made a good table change

Early on Day 2, Andrew Lichtenberger was moved to seat 1 on our feature table, and it's been a good table change for him so far.

He eliminated Matt Affleck when he shoved the button with A-4 and Andrew called with 8-8. Matt flopped trip fours, but Andrew hit an eight on the river to make a full house.

A few orbits later he moved in from the small blind against Bobby Suer in the big blind, who called with K-J. Andrew had A-K and it held up to eliminate another player.

Andrew now sits on approximately 90,000.
