Chris Moorman has been eliminated

Chris Moorman was all in holding [Th][Td] and was up against his opponent's [Ad][Qd]. The [8h][Tc][6s] flop gave Chris a commanding lead, and he could only lose to a runner-runner straight. The [9d] gave his opponent outs, and indeed a jack hit the river to send Chris to the rail.

1st Place: Yanki Koppel ($104,860 + $7,500 Shooting Star Seat)

After Ryan D'Angelo was eliminated in 3rd place, Yanki Koppel and Brad Gordon agreed to a chip chop. Yanki had the chip lead, so he will take the trophy along with $104,860 and a $7,500 Shooting Star Seat. Congratulations, Yanki!

2nd Place: Brad Gordon ($100,030 + $7,500 Shooting Star Seat)

3rd Place: Ryan D'Angelo ($50,820 + $7,500 Shooting Star Seat)

Ryan D'Angelo has been eliminated when his pocket deuces failed to improve against Brad Gordon's pocket eights. Ryan will earn $50,820 and a $7,500 Shooting Star Seat for his efforts in the $2,100 Event.

Quarter chips coming off

Players are now on a break while the tournament staff colors up and races off the 25 chips. When players return, blinds will be 400/800 with a 100 ante.

Brad Gordon dances with kings

In the $2,100 Event, play is down to three handed. Mike Heshmati was eliminated in 4th place, and it looked as if Brad Gordon was going to be eliminated in 3rd place. Yanki Koppel was all in on a J-T-9 flop with a set of nines, which had outflopped Brad's pocket kings. Brad failed to improve, and after doubling up his opponent, he was left with just over ten big blinds. A few hands later, Ryan D'Angelo called Brad's check-raise allin with [Ks]Kd], and Brad was in bad shape with [Qc][Js] on a [8h][2h][Jh] flop. The [3s] on the turn had Brad out of his chair and packing up, but the [Qd] river gave Brad the winning two pair. He will double up to 444,000 and play will continue three handed.

Mike Leah doubles up

Mike Leah was all in holding [As][Ah] on a [5d][Ad][Qc] flop and was up against [Qd][9d]. A pair and a flush draw is usually a strong hand, but if your opponent is holding top set, that means you're only drawing to a flush. The [Th] turn and [7s] river failed to bring that flush, so Shooting Star Mike Leah will avoid elimination and double up.

Antonio Esfandiari has been eliminated

Antonio Esfandiari has pocket sixes failed to outrun his opponent's pocket aces.

Mike Sexton has been eliminated

Mike Sexton was all in holding [Ah][Jh] and was up against his opponent's [Ks][Qc]. The [6s][7d][Kd] gave Mike's opponent the best hand, and the [Kc] on the turn left him drawing dead. The meaningless [5s] hit the river, and Shooting Star Mike Sexton will be eliminated.

$2,100 down to 4 players

The $2,100 Event is now down to the final 4 players. As we were getting chip counts, Yanki Koppel three bet all in and was called by Ryan D'Angelo. It was a race as Yanki held [9h][9c] against Ryan's [As][Tc], but the [4c][2c][9d] flop left Ryan drawing to runner-runner. The [7h] turn meant Ryan was drawing dead, and the [9s] river gave Yanki quads and the pot. Here are chip counts after that hand, in seat order:

Mike Heshmati - 200,000
Yanki Koppel - 870,000
Ryan D'Angelo - 670,000
Brad Gordon - 1,290,000

Here are the final table payouts up to this point:

5th Place: David Rudolf ($32,410)
6th Place: Erik Christensen ($25,920)
7th Place: Chris Bonita ($21,530)
8th Place: Jonathan Borenstein ($17,260)
9th Place: Saurabh Patel ($12,930)
