John Andress Takes Huge Pot from Chino Rheem
Level: 19
Blinds: 5000.10000 with a big blind ante of 10000
Players: 13 remaining from 290 entries
The 25,000 chips started flying early in this hand between Shooting Star Chino Rheem and last year's 5th-place finisher John Andress. The pot balloons to 1,000,000 on the [Kc] [7d] [Ts] flop.
The turn is [6c] and Andress (pictured) moves all in for 895,000 - Rheem has 510,000 behind so the decision is for the one-time tournament chipleader's competition life.
There's plenty of Rheem-based table-talk, including, "All I have is a pair, just one," is what comes across as an attempt to claim he's holding Aces.
Some 6 minutes peel from the clock before the cards go in the muck and Andress moves to the chiplead at 1,895,000 .. and Rheem's table-talk continues, albeit at a lower volume.
